Hello! My name is Alex McCane and I am the Program Manager for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks. BBBS creates one-on-one mentoring relationships between youth within our community and adult mentors just like you! Our goal is to help children realize their potential and build their futures.

Helping youth within our community is easier than you may think! We ask our volunteers (Bigs) to meet with their mentees (Little) twice a month and just a check in call or text on the off weeks. Hangouts don't have to be anything extreme! You can go to the park, grab some ice cream, or simply go for a walk and chat!
