Allen Loomis

I’ve spent my career in three very different worlds: aviation, higher education, and automotive sales. Somehow, they’ve all taught me the same thing: understand people, communicate clearly, solve problems, and earn trust.

I spent nearly a decade with United Airlines before returning to Upstate New York. I then earned a PhD in English Literature from Binghamton University and taught literature, Shakespeare, and academic writing at the college level.

Today, I’m a salesperson at Garvey Hyundai in Queensbury, helping drivers throughout Saratoga, Queensbury, and the Adirondacks find the right vehicle.

My teaching background probably makes me a better car salesperson than I ever expected. I listen first, explain things clearly, and never want customers to feel pressured or talked at.

In my first full year, I helped 242 customers find their next vehicle. I was also honored as The Post-Star’s 2026 Best of the Region Automotive Salesperson.

Most importantly, I’m building the kind of local business where customers know my name, have my number, and feel comfortable calling me long after they drive away.
