Amanda Blanton

Hi! My name is Amanda and I am weirdly passionate about marketing, but not in a traditional sense. Let me explain.

A lot of people assume marketing is about sales and convincing people to buy things. While I don't disagree with this, I do think it is a small part of what marketing is. What I enjoy about marketing is the connection you make with your audience. I enjoy raising awareness, educating, and communicating things effectively and simply.

I would say my specialty is paying attention to the details. I call myself a "thoughtful marketer" and enjoy taking my time on just about everything. I am a no-pressure decision maker, and like to treat others with the same respect. I despise "flash sales" or "today only" approaches, as I believe it forced people to make decisions too hastily and without enough information.

Remember as a child you were always asking "why"? Well I am that child, in adult form, and I will always continue to ask "why". I enjoy gathering information and sharing information, and that is why I feel like I am a successful marketing professional.

I am always looking to connect with other marketing professionals. I feel we are a special people who thrive on each other's energy. So if you want to grab a coffee and chat marketing, I would love to meet!

Oh and last, but not least, my superpower is pretending I'm an extrovert when really I'm an introvert. It's a complicated world, but I am sure I am not the only one! Other introverts may be able to relate 😉
