Ava Kanninen

Hello!

I'm Ava, and I started with the ARCC at the dawn of 2023.

Prior to joining the team, I had been involved with chamber life as a sales representative for a local beverage distributor, and as a Tasting Room Manager for a local winery going back about 15 years. I started attending ARCC programs about 8 years ago and first met my current colleagues, and many ambassadors that are still with the organization today.

As a transplant in the area, I was thrilled to find so many people who take so much joy in sharing the best of themselves and their community, who believe that a rising tide carries all ships, and that when we work together, we can all do better. They're an inspiration to me every single day.

Hanging on the wall in our office, we have the original chamber by-laws from 1914. Article II states the "The object of this Chamber is to promote the general welfare of Glens Falls." Although the organization has grown as the community has become more interconnected with the surrounding region, our essential function is the same. We exist to make this place better, and that's what we work towards every day.

I love having a career that allows me to live my values and contribute to this place that has been so good to me.
