My name is Chana McIntyre. My “claim to fame” is being a connector, advocate, and resource for the people and organizations in my community. Professionally, I work with businesses, nonprofits, and individuals to help them navigate payroll, HR, employee benefits, Medicare, and supplemental insurance needs. Personally, I am deeply committed to community service and nonprofit work throughout the Capital Region.

What’s your bailiwick? Your specialty?

My specialty is helping people and organizations make sense of complicated but important decisions — whether that is payroll and HR support, Medicare options, supplemental benefits, or nonprofit leadership.

I work for TBM Payroll, PEO and HR Management, serve as an agent and advocate with Simplify Medicare, and am a supplemental benefit consultant with Combined Insurance. Across all of those roles, my focus is the same: education, accessibility, advocacy, and helping people feel supported instead of overwhelmed.

Is there something you think the public might not know about what you do that you wish they did?

I wish more people knew how personal this work really is.

Payroll, Medicare, and benefits can sound transactional on the surface, but they impact real people, families, employers, employees, and communities. Behind every payroll question, Medicare decision, or benefits conversation, someone is trying to make the best choice with limited time and often confusing information.

My goal is to be a trusted resource — someone who explains things clearly, follows through, and helps people feel confident in their decisions.

What’s the biggest, baddest, most awesome thing you’ve accomplished in your business so far?

One of the things I am most proud of is being a wife and mom, and also building a professional life around both business development and community impact.

I have been able to grow meaningful relationships across the Capital Region while supporting employers, nonprofits, individuals, and community organizations. I am especially proud to serve on several nonprofit boards, including Athletic Haven, Ohav Shalom, Daughters of Sarah Foundation, and the Greater Loudonville Association, while also serving as an Ambassador for the Capital Region Chamber of Commerce.

For me, success is not just measured in business growth. It is measured in trust, service, relationships, and the ability to connect people with resources that genuinely help them.

What’s a little-known fact about you that might surprise us?

A little-known fact about me is that I wear a lot of hats — and I genuinely love that.

Between payroll, Medicare advocacy, supplemental benefits, nonprofit board service, chamber involvement, and community events, my days are rarely quiet. But I thrive on connection, service, and being involved in work that has purpose. I am happiest when I can bring people together, solve problems, and help move something meaningful forward.

I help businesses, nonprofits, and individuals navigate some of the most important — and often most confusing — parts of their professional and personal lives.

Through TBM Payroll, PEO and HR Management,  I help employers find payroll, HR, compliance, and employee support solutions that are backed by real people and personalized service. As an agent and advocate with Simplify Medicare, I help individuals better understand their Medicare options. As a supplemental benefit consultant with Combined Insurance, I help employers and individuals explore additional protection for life’s unexpected events.

At the heart of everything I do is advocacy. I believe people deserve clear information, reliable support, and a trusted person they can call when they need guidance.
