About
Debbie Geer
It seems a bit odd to share my life story while God is still writing it, and it keeps evolving. I can tell you one thing that has not changed and that is the unconditional love from my amazing husband, John. He is a gift from God as well as our two sons and their beautiful families. They fill my heart with so much love and joy.
Along with the many blessings I’ve had in my life, I’ve also faced great struggles, made terrible mistakes, and experienced deep regret and shame. Yet, navigating all these moments has helped me grow into the woman I am today. God has been with me every step of the way, guiding me through my imperfections and transforming me into who He intended me to be. I am a work in progress, continuously growing, learning, and changing under God’s loving hand.
Philippians 1:6 has been a guiding verse in my life: “I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” This verse reminds me that God is not finished with me yet and continues to work in my life every day.
In 2011, when God placed the vision for Hope for a Woman’s Heart on my heart, I knew it was meant for women who needed a place to belong and to be loved right where they are, no judgment —just as God did for me. Unsure of how to begin or what it would look like, I trusted God’s guidance, and through the support of other women who shared this vision, Hope for a Woman’s Heart was born.
One of the core values of our organization is authenticity. We are real women who openly share our imperfections and struggles, while also testifying to the saving grace of God and how He has transformed our lives. We invite women to join us on this journey of faith, where lives are changed, hope is restored, and forgiveness is received.
