Rachel Arkus

I help nonprofits and philanthropic foundations run more effectively, manage risk, and secure the funding they need to make a bigger impact.

Through ADK Advisory, I provide fractional executive leadership and hands-on operational support, helping leaders and boards tackle administrative bottlenecks, strengthen systems, and build sustainable revenue pipelines.

My goal is simple: give mission-driven leaders more time to focus on their mission.

Before launching ADK Advisory, I spent over 13 years at Climate Nexus, where I managed a $20 million annual operating budget, helped oversee a portfolio of 30+ major donors, and grew the national team fivefold. My experience also includes corporate sustainability leadership at Standard Chartered Bank, consulting at Accenture, and work at the University of Westminster. I previously chaired the board of the US Climate Action Network.

Originally from the UK, I’ve called New York City home for 17 years. I hold degrees from the London School of Economics and the University of St. Andrews. Outside work, life revolves around my husband, two daughters, and our dog.
