I’ve built my career around words; writing them, editing them, teaching them, and occasionally obsessing over them more than necessary. As Co-Owner and News Editor of Saratoga Dispatch, I focus on telling the kinds of local stories that keep communities informed, connected, and engaged.

My background includes years of experience in community journalism and hyper-local reporting, where I’ve learned that some of the most important stories don’t make national headlines—but still matter deeply. Alongside my work in journalism, I’ve spent 30 years teaching college-level writing, covering everything from journalism and composition to corporate communication and ESL.

I’m also a fiction writer with an MFA in creative writing, which keeps my perspective balanced between precision and creativity. Whether I’m reporting, editing, or teaching, my goal is always the same: to communicate clearly, thoughtfully, and with purpose.
