Hi, I’m Tim Williams! I’m the proud owner of Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Greater Albany. As a veteran entrepreneur, I’ve spent my career helping people and businesses shine. Sometimes figuratively, and now quite literally.

My specialty is designing and installing custom outdoor lighting that brings homes, landscapes, and commercial properties to life after dark. Whether it’s permanent roofline lighting, color-changing features, or a stunning architectural design, we create scenes that are both beautiful and functional. And unlike consumer-grade lighting you might pick up at a big-box store, our fixtures are professional-grade. Manufactured exclusively for OLP and built to last year after year. They’re an investment in your property’s curb appeal, security, and ambiance.

What most people don’t realize is how technical and creative this work really is. It’s not just sticking lights in the ground. It’s about beam angles, brightness levels, color temperatures, and design aesthetics. It’s also about solving problems, like lighting a tricky walkway or making a business more inviting at night. Every project is different, and that’s what I love about it.

My biggest win so far, was launching this franchise while still running my consulting firm, and doing both with a level of care that makes each client feel like they’re my only one. Balancing both ventures while staying deeply rooted in my community has been incredibly rewarding.

Something you might not know about me is that I’ve always had a passion for woodworking and cabinet making. When my twin daughters were in elementary school, I started volunteering to build sets for their school plays. Now I’m part of a group called Casual Sets that helps high schools and community theaters bring their productions to life with custom-built props and scenery. Maybe that’s part of why I appreciate a well-designed scene…indoors or out!
