Tom Schin - I'm a culture and employee engagement professional who trains managers to become better leaders. I'm passionate about helping people learn, grow, and become better than the day before - teaching them to fish, so they can fish for themselves (bad analogy because I don't eat seafood).
I'm known for my recruiting/HR background, and people are now seeing that I am now working for myself, focused on fixing employee retention/attrition issues.
Biggest, baddest accomplishment for me in my business role? I'm relatively new to being out on my own, that said, I love public speaking. I've presented for large and small groups (and sometimes I'll bring my ukulele as my guest star - there's your accomplishment and little known fact all in one)
I hate elevator pitches. If we're stuck in the slow elevator, I'm learning more about you - what makes you laugh, wince, if you like tequila, Pearl Jam, etc. If I've done a good, job, we'll be making plans to get together to talk more.
