Tori Buzzelli

My name is Tori Buzzelli, and I'm an attorney at Meliora Law in Delmar, NY. I relocated to Glens Falls in 2022, drawn in by its quality of life. I admire the Southern Adirondacks for its emphasis on nature, outdoor activities, and community engagement.  As a business and non-profit lawyer, I help clients find tailored, practical legal solutions.

I'm passionate about supporting non-profits in their missions to address pressing social issues and improve lives. I enjoy solving the complex and unique legal challenges of non-profits, which operate at the intersection of corporate, fundraising, and state and federal tax law, and helping them to preserve their tax-exempt status. My non-profit services include advising on governance matters, providing guidance on regulatory compliance, and negotiating and documenting transactional and other contract arrangements.  By handling these legal concerns, I enable organizations to focus on their core mission.

I also enjoy working with private businesses to mitigate risk and overcome day-to-day challenges, as well as achieve long-term success.  Client legal needs typically begin with entity formation and negotiating and drafting ownership and other start-up agreements.  I also assist companies with growth strategies, including equity and debt financing, and succession planning.  At the exit stage, I manage both buy-side and sell-side transactions including asset and equity sales, mergers, and reorganizations, and I help clients achieve the best economic results in the deal.  I also serve as outside general counsel for certain clients, providing strategic legal guidance and support to businesses every step of the way.
