Jamie Munyon - I have worked at Open Door Mission for the past nine years. For the majority of my time, I worked in programming, with the clients that use the services. About two years ago I stepped into the role of Executive Director.

I have a degree in substance abuse counseling and psychology, and I am currently pursuing my Masters in Social Work at the University of Buffalo.

Organizations like Open Door Mission are essential to the infrastructure of the community. We serve as a safety net for those who find themselves homeless. We also provide hope to those struggling with addiction or mental wellness. Beyond those groups, we serve a part of the population that needs additional resources regularly to supplement their income. Asset-limited, income-constrained individuals and families use our services regularly to access resources that will help them to survive. In all of our services, we do our best to build relationships with those we serve knowing that in that context we can learn to thrive together.
