Hi, I’m John Lefner, CEO of The Hyde Collection—an art museum, historic home, and, occasionally, snow-shoveling arena. I grew up in upstate New York, served nonprofits and communities in Florida, Rhode Island, and New York for a while during my wife’s medical training, and eventually found my way back home. Every day at the Hyde is different: one minute I’m talking about masterpieces, the next I’m helping hang them. What I love most? The team, the community, and the thrill of making world-class art accessible in a city of fifteen thousand. Oh, and yes—I still believe every great leader should keep shoveling.
