Karolina Severova

My name is Karolina Severova and I was born and raised in Prague, Czech Republic, and came to the U.S. after being recruited to play Division I basketball. After earning my bachelor’s degree, I applied for an OPT visa and landed a job as an agency recruiter. 

I spent six years in that role, navigating multiple visas and eventually getting my Green Card.

I am currently a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist at Excelsior University and I am also a board member of the Capital Region Recruiters' Network.

I’m passionate about helping job seekers, especially international students, because I know how challenging and stressful the process can be.

In my free time, I love to travel. I’ve been to 25+ countries and counting! Some of my favorite places so far are Bali, Thailand, the French Riviera, and Key West, FL. I’m also a huge foodie and love Asian food and seafood.
